Annual Run for Independence Races

The Run for Independence is a community event focused on celebrating ability while raising awareness and encouraging inclusivity. Proceeds from the race will support Independence Association programs for individuals with Intellectual Disabilities and Developmental Disabilities. Fun Run 8:15 a.m.
10K Run 8:30 a.m.
5K Run 8:45 a.m.
1 Mile Fun Run 9:00 a.m.

Prizes

Over $1,000 in prizes for overall top male and female finishers.
$10 gift cards for top male and female finishers in in each of seven age groups in each events.
Team honors (beyond bragging rights) to be announced!

Entry Fee

Pre-register by April 20 for Free T-shirt to the first 150 paid registered runners and Free Team shirts for teams pre-registered by April 20.

Preregistration - Fun Run Free, 4th Grade Free 1 mile, 1 mile $20.00, the 5K $25.00 and 10K $35 before May 17th. There will be a $2.75 processing fee per runner added at check out.
Day of race registration 7:30 - 8:45 a.m. - Fun Run Free, 1 mile $25.00, the 5K $30.00 and 10K $40

Race Policy

If race is canceled due to extreme weather conditions, there will be no make-up date and no refunds.

Early Bib Pick-up

May 19th from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Fleet Feet on Maine Street in Brunswick
